Operational Mentoring Liaison Team


Army Command Sgt. Maj. Jonathan Ninneman, the Afghan National Army's 4th Kandak, 1st Brigade, 209th Corps Headquarter Company Combat Adviser team command sergeant major mentor, distributes school supplies at the Baktash Secondary School, an all-girls school, Sept. 12, in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. Unit Information

Minnesota Army National Guard Solders team with the Croatian Armed Forces as an extension of the State Partnership Program by developing and fielding a combined Operational Mentoring Liaison Team (OMLT).

OMLT Soldiers serve alongside their Croatian partners in Afghanistan as part of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). 

They coach, teach and mentor an Afghan National Army (ANA) Battalion with operational planning and mission execution in order to increase the overall capabilities of Afghan Security Forces.
