Lt. Col. Greg Thingvold, commander for 2-147 Assault Helicopter Battalion presents
Command Sgt. Maj. Edward Mills, Minnesota State Command Sgt. Major a token of their appreciation for his visit to Iraq in early January. Command Sgt. Maj. Mills and Major Gen. Larry W. Shellito, Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard visited the Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 147th Assault Helicopter who are currently stationed in Iraq and are expected home later this year. 2-147 AHB is an Army National Guard utility Helicopter Battalion headquartered in St. Paul that supports the 34th Infantry Division and the State of Minnesota by providing air lift, scouting, mobility, and support of civil authorities. The aviators of the 2-147 AHB fly the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter.
