DESCRIPTION: Air and Army National Guard members participate in an open house at the Northeast Minneapolis National Guard Training and Community Center on March 7, 2008. The Army and Army Guardsmen were a part of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERF-P) team who were recently certified this past August. The Minnesota National Guard has established a new emergency response team to provide immediate capabilities to the governor including: incident site search capability of damaged buildings, rescuing trapped casualties, providing decontamination, and performing medical triage and initial treatment to stabilize patients for transport to medical facilities.
