We are in high-gear preparing for our upcoming Health Services Inspection (HSI). Several members volunteered their time for the Youth Camp at Camp Ripley and all have said that they had a great time and are hopeful for our future after spending time with these outstanding kids.

133rd Medical Group

The Medical Group trained with the Army National Guard at Camp Ripley for two weeks for our joint Homeland Security mission CERFP [CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear or High-Yield Explosive) Enhanced Response Force Package] mission for the state.  Senior Airman Andrew Sudeith responded to the 35W bridge collapse. He monitored the physical conditions of the firefighters and called in needed supplies.

133rd Services Flight

The Services Flight has had a busy summer. In addition to preparing for the upcoming UCI, SVF members supported two weeks of Youth Camp and also provided support for the Security Forces training at Camp Ripley. Staff Sgt. Tony Rank and Staff Sgt. Cassie Fennern both returned from fitness school at Fairchild AFB.

We want to welcome Tech. Sgt. Rich Fennern and Senior Airman Chris Klavetter as our newest SVF members. Welcome home to Maj. Dedra Tentis from Jump Start. Congratulations to Airman First Class Elizabeth Ulseth for her successful completion of BMT and to Airman First Class Ryan Ringwelski for his successful completion of BMT and tech school. Happy trails to Senior Master Sgt. Rich Krueger, who retired in August and to Staff Sgt. Bob Gindorff as he leaves us for recruiting.

133rd Airlift Control Flight

As hurricane season commences, the seven ANG Airlift Control Flights (ALCFs) will continue to institute a Hurricane Response crisis response plan in both primary and alternate capacities. The 133rd ALCF will serve as a 36-hour stand-by Contingency Readiness Element (CRE) for Hurricane Relief from June to July 2007.  Members of the CRE would serve as the Crisis Action Team (CAT) both on site and in the CAT Cell at Andrews AFB.

133rd Civil Engineering Squadron

Civil Engineering will be holding a retirement ceremony on June 16 for Chief Master Sgt. Dan McConnell, Master Sgt. Doug Nelson, Master Sgt. Dan VanHout, and Staff Sgt. John Liberty. The ceremony is scheduled for 1:00pm in the Civil Engineering classroom and will be followed by our annual steak fry.  We recently added Mr. Tom Munchow to our full-time civilian staff as a general repair worker. Tom replaces Tech. Sgt. Andy Kath who recently accepted a position as our new Prime BEEF Manager.

Get your lattes brewed ladies and gentlemen. The 133rd Communications Flight is gearing up for wireless network access. We are starting with the maintenance and mobility area and hope to have them surfing wirelessly sometime in June. In other news, a bunch of our members just got back from an excellent deployment for training to Eglin AFB. We gleaned valuable experience from our active duty counterparts that will surely prove useful in the upcoming UCI.

This month, the Services Flight returned from Combat Training at Dobbins AFB, Ga.  Over the UTA, we trained and prepared for the upcoming UCI.  We participated in MWR training.
Congratulations to Tech. Sgt. Joe Jordan, Tech. Sgt. Michael Leen, Staff Sgt. Cassie Fennern, Staff Sgt. Janna Gustin, and Staff Sgt. Anthony Rank for achieving high scores on the final test at Services Combat Training. Congratulations to Tech. Sgt. 133rd Security Forces Squadron

During the May UTA the Security Forces Squadron partnered with our Marine MP brethren to provide real-world security support for the 2007 Military Expo. With a large part of the squadron tasked out at the Military Expo, the rest of the squadron was spread out conducting training with members attending: medical training, equipment pallet building class, and air-base-defense/field training.
