Reintegration event for Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 211th Air Ambulance Aviation Regiment, and Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 Headquarters

Minnesota Servicemembers will take part in Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Training at the Hilton Minneapolis Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

About 60 Soldiers of Charlie Company, 2-211 Air Ambulance Aviation Regiment will take part in 60-Day Reintegration Training. Charlie Company is headquartered in St. Paul and performed air medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) over a nine-month deployment in western Iraq. In April, one of the unit's MEDEVAC teams, consisting of 19 aircrew members and four aircraft, was detached and remissioned to support the medical evacuations in Afghanistan. The event is the official welcome home for this dual theater deployed unit.

About 70 Marines of the Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 Headquarters will take part in 30-Day and make-up Reintegration Training. The MWSS-471, based in Minneapolis, provided provisional security force operations in Djibouti over a seven-month deployment.

Minnesota reintegration events are put on by the Deployment Cycle Support team of the Minnesota Army National Guard. Servicemembers and families will have the opportunity to attend workshops that cover:
* Reconnecting with your spouse, children, and/or parent
* Understanding the new economy and job market
* Learning what benefits are available to military members and families

Workshops at the event are conducted by licensed professionals. Other reintegration workshops and kiosks provide information and services that include: Free hunting licenses, sessions on understanding the battle mind, single Soldier issues, family support groups, information concerning youth, and more.
