~ Minnesota National Guard Deployment Ceremony ~

Over 40 Soldiers of the Hastings based C Co., 834th Aviation Support Battalion have been ordered to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They will deploy to Iraq this summer after a short training period at Ft. Sill, Okla.

A deployment ceremony will be held at the Hastings High School, 200 General Sieben Drive, Hastings, MN 55033, May 4th at 1 p.m.

When deployed C Company will be part of Task Force 34, a brigade sized aviation unit headed by the Minnesota National Guard's 34th Combat Aviation Brigade from St. Paul.

The 834th Aviation Support Battalion is an Army National Guard battalion that provides logistics, transportation, medical, maintenance and communications support for the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade. C Company specializes in installation and maintenance of voice and data signal equipment.
