Sgt. Joe Roos
Public Affairs Journalist
Sgt. Joe Roos, 25, is a military public affairs non-commissioned officer. He works on the Multi-National Division – South Public Affairs Team as a distributor of MND-S journalistic products to the worldwide web.  A resident of St. Paul, Minn., Sgt. Roos works back in the states as an active duty Soldier, a full-time student at Metropolitan State University, chief executive and chief financial officer of Straight Shooter Productions LLC and, as an artist, released his debut hip hop album before deploying, titled “Just glad to be here.” Roos keeps a blog while deployed at: www.averagejoeroos.blogspot.com. He has three older sisters and two younger brothers. His sisters are Jessie, Rebecca and Deborah, who live in New Hampshire, Missouri and Arizona, respectively. His brothers are John and Timothy, who both live in Minnesota. His father, William “Big Poppa” Roos, lives in Minnesota.
