34th Combat Aviation Brigade

Sgt. Patrick Loch has served in the Minnesota National Guard for more than 12 years. He has deployed twice, to Kosovo in 2003-04 and Iraq in 2007-08, as a combat engineer with the 682nd Engineer Battalion.

Loch began working full-time as a public affairs and communications sergeant with Beyond the Yellow Ribbon in 2010. He transferred to the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade in 2011 to become a public affairs sergeant, and completed the Basic Public Affairs Specialist Course at Fort Meade, Md., in 2012.
