Results of the 2011 Organizational Command Climate Survey
This year's survey was administered to all Servicemembers and members of the civilian workforce for the Army National Guard and the 133rd Air Wing. The 148th Fighter Wing was exempted from participation, because it conducted its own command climate survey just prior to this survey.
45% of the force completed the survey. This reflects nearly a 20% increase in response rates when compared to the last Survey conducted in 2004.
Strengths:
– Job Satisfaction of Workforce – rated 4.0 “Satisfied” out of a 5.0 point scale.
– 65 % of those that responded are satisfied with BTYR and DCS activities.
– Chances of discrimination are considered “Low” in the MNNG when compared to NGB and other service components.
– Overall results reflect that a “high” level of EO behavior exists in the organization.
– Members of the organization generally understand how to contact Chaplain, get help with Tri-care, and identify contacts for Family support issues. Opportunity for Improvement:
– 10% of the respondents still report some type of discrimination takes place.
– Nearly half of discrimination is never reported.
– Ratings of organizational climate is lowest in the area of:
• Organizational Commitment
• Trust in the Organization
• Nearly 25% of the force believes that the officer and enlisted promotion system is not fair and equitable |
