Who is Eligible?
Soldiers mobilized 90 days or longer in support of a contingency operation on or after
September 11, 2001.

Benefits – Who Gets What
- Mobilized 90 days but less than 1 yr - 40% (of CH30 rate-FY07 $1075) = $440.40 per month
- Mobilized 1 year but less than 2 yr - 60% (of CH30 rate-FY07 $1075) = $660.60 per month
- Mobilized 2 years or more - 80% (of CH30 rate-FY07 $1075) = $880.80 per month
Mobilized 20 months or more of a 730+ day order (eligible for CH30, MUST MAKE IRREVOCABLE ELECTION BETWEEN CH1607 and CH30).
Limitations
- AGR / ARNG Soldiers on Active Duty can not use CH1607 and Tuition Assistance for the same course.
What Do I Need To Know
- You have up to 36 months of full-time benefits
- You must stay in the Selected Reserve in an active drilling status to remain eligible.
- EMS – Eligibility for Mobilized Soldiers. Go to www.nationalguardbenefits.com and print your EMS. This is your formal notification of your eligibility for REAP.
Disqualifying Factors
- If you separated from the ARNG into civilian life, you immediately lose this benefit.
- You are allowed a one time break-in-service of 90 days, but you must remain in the Inactive National Guard (ING) or Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR).
