  UH-1 Simulator - Extended!

     The UH-1 Simulator's availability has been extended through FY 2004.  Normal hours are between 0900 to 1630 weekdays.  If you need UH-1 Simulator support other times - please contact  Flight Operations.

AWOS

The AWOS (Automated Weather Observation Service) is still here Miller Army Airfield!

We currently broadcast altimeter setting, temperature, dewpoint, ceiling, visibility, winds and gust spread.

In the future we will be broadcasting on the Localizer Frequency  360.25 and 148.35

Any local announcements will be broadcast along with the current weather.

Microwave Landing System (MLS)

A MLS is currently being installed and operational at the Miller Army Airfield!  The is a combination of two systems taken out of service by  civilian airports.  This system will allow increased training for a wider variety of aircraft.

Other Improvements

    New Tower? - There are plans in the works for a new tower to be installed here at Miller Army Airfield.  DoD personnel have already been here to survey the site and they will be submitting a plan soon.
