| The success of the Camp Ripley Environmental program reflects a strong commitment to conservation of current resources and a proactive vision of the future. Components of the program integrate installation chain-of-command with the interests of resource management agencies, private conservation groups, regulatory agencies, and the local community to conserve the diverse resources at Camp Ripley while providing an optimal atmosphere for military training and readiness. Perhaps the best example of biodiversity and compatibility with training at Camp Ripley is gray wolf pups thriving in the heart of an active training area (Figure 12). The Environmental offices professionalism, efficiency, and vision will not only enhance Camp Ripleys vast natural resources, but also expand support for the military training mission in the future. | ||
