MISSION
STATEMENT
Colonel Richard A.
Weaver
Post Commander
Camp Ripley is the second largest National
Guard Training Site within the United States. It is the most modern training facility in
the reserve components and is a major training asset to the entire military community.
Camp Ripley has three primary missions. First, to provide a first class training site and
top-notch support for units to training Soldiers to support National Security objectives;
second, provide resources and training that assist in the protection of life, property and
preserve peace, order and public safety for the State of Minnesota; third, participate in
local, state and national programs that add value to our community.
|
The mission of adding
value to the community continues to increase as great strides have been made in
cooperation and collaboration with other governmental agencies. |
| The Enforcement Division of the Department of
Natural Resources now does all of their training at Camp Ripley. The State Patrol continues to conduct a Rookie School at the
Camp and the Police Academy will be conducting their first course in 2002 at Camp Ripley.
The Camp continues to see a significant increase in the use of our facilities by law
enforcement agencies across the state. Camp Ripley has entered into educational
partnerships with St. Cloud State University, the Mid-State
Educational District and Little Falls School District. These partnerships are giving
students both at the secondary and post secondary levels the chance for internship and
shadow opportunities in many vocational areas. |

Every member of the Camp Ripley team
takes all of our missions very seriously and works extremely hard to provide outstanding
customer service to all of our military and civilian customers. We are committed to total
quality and will continue to seek additional ways to cooperate and collaborate with all
governmental agencies to provide opportunities for cost effective delivery of services to
those agencies and the taxpayers. We are dedicated to the vision of being a "Premier
Training Center dedicated to Customer Loyalty".
Camp Ripley personnel come from several surrounding communities. In addition to their role as
citizen Soldiers, they serve their communities in a variety of ways such as church and
town councils, fire and police departments, chambers of commerce, a wide range of service
clubs, and numerous other volunteer activities. We are extremely proud of our 550
full-time and 850 drilling members. Their efforts here as well as in their home
communities are truly a positive force in Central Minnesota.
The outstanding support received from our local
communities is greatly appreciated. Through mutual cooperation and working together, we
will secure the continued development of our local economy. Thanks for your support.
